I have been using...

I have been using Microsoft Outlook for my emails since purchasing my computer about a year ago. It was installed and set up by a local tech person. I have tried to activate my account as your message instructed. My email address***@******.*** was recognised but I did not know my password. I tried to reset it but then got a 'no licence' message. My husband has and has had office for ages -***@******.*** and has never got this message. Can you tell me what to do as we have clearly bought it at some time. Thank you

No. Though I am receiving outlook messages on my iPhone - just not on my Mac

If you use a Microsoft account to log on at office.com then it shows no license, that commonly means a wrong Microsoft ID is used. Please double check if you have other email address ever used as Microsoft account?
