1 week ago, now it comes up every few minutes, I can click it away and receive a few emails then it pops up then until l notice it. even 8 hours later no emails come in until I click it off then I get emails before it locks out again

let me know if you are able to sign in and check your emails in cox webmail page

if yes, try sending a test email to your cox email itself from webmail page

I have spoken with ISP provider Cox and all my info is correct in outlook.

ok got it. close outlook

in windows search box type control panel and open it from search results

open programs and features

locate microsoft office and right click on it and click on change\modify\repair option

once the ms office repair completes, let me know

ok..follow the below steps

Choose Start > Control Panel > Mail.

Choose Show Profiles > Add.

In the Profile Name box, type a name for the profile, and then choose OK.

then open outlook

in the new profile, add cox email and let me know if it works fine or gives the same error

make sure the settings match the below

pop.cox.net

Incoming POP port: 995

smtp.cox.net

Use one of the following outgoing SMTP ports:

  • 587 with TLS enabled
  • 465 with SSL enabled and check the authentication box, if available

let em know once checked
