I have the formula created. It is an IFERROR(INDEX) formula. When I copy and paste it to my 2nd row, it doesn't paste the correct information. I have a different formula in other cells, but I want it to auto fill for me.

Hello,
I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist with your question today.

Can you describe the purpose of the formula for me?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Hello. My team has to scan assets for each cellsite. I would like to create a spreadsheet with barcodes so that it makes it easier for us to scan some of our assets. What I would like to do is download a report for each site's assets. copy it and past it into this spreadsheet and have it automatically create barcodes for us on the barcodes page.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I cannot have you connect, as it is on my work computer. This is on my own to help my team so I will have to pay for it out of my pocket. I attached the spreadsheet earlier.

You can ignore any automated offers that may pop up - they are sent automatically by the site.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No. My work computer is completely locked down. I would get fired if someone remote into my work computer.
Expert:  Pete replied 8 months ago.

That's ok, I understand! Just ignore any automated offers of remote assistance.

Can you tell me which cell(s) are not functioning as expected?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Are you looking at the spreadsheet? I have the index formula set up in A1:C1 and A2:C2. However, when I copy and paste that formula to A5:C5 and A6:C6, it doesn't grab the correct information.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I think it has something to do with the Row+- and Column +- and $A$1.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
If you look at the Assets tab, you will see I have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. The Bar Codes tab should follow in that order. But it skips to 13, 14, 15.
Expert:  Pete replied 8 months ago.

Yes, looking at it now...

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
It has to be something super simple I am missing. : (
Expert:  Pete replied 8 months ago.

Ok, almost there..

Your formula would work if it was pasted across 3 columns and down each row, with no missing rows in between.

However as the formula jumps from row 1 to row 5, it loses count of the array.

The following formula is closer to what you require but still needs some tweaking:

=IFERROR(INDEX(Assets!$I$2:$I$101,1+1*(ROW()-ROW($A$1))+COLUMN()-COLUMN($A$1)),"")

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Ok. How much do you need to fix it? Be gentle as I'm paying for it out of my pocket. : )
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
That is what it was doing with my other formula I was trying.
Expert:  Pete replied 8 months ago.

I still can't get it fully tweaked to work correctly!

I will opt out and see if another expert can assist you further.

Ok. Sorry. Thank you for your help.
