Microsoft Office Questions? Ask a IT Expert for Support ASAP
Hello,I am the person that will be helping you today.
Please, do the following:
- Right click the file that you just saved over.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Previous Versions tab.
- Do you see a version of the file from a time before you overwrote the file? If so, click to highlight that date and click the Copy button and choose to copy it somewhere. Now you will have the unoverwritten version.
Did that work?
I will be standing by, looking forward to your response.
In that case, I am sorry, the file will not be recoverable.
I am sorry to be the bringer of bad news. Once you choose to overwrite the file, there is nothing that can be done.
Is there anything else that I can help with?
