Hi Cody. The System Restore you did on my laptop last night didn't resolve my issue with Microsoft Office.
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

I think there is something else going on since it worked for about 1 week then stopped.. and having same issue getting it reinstalled again.

Is doing a refresh an option? It would reinstall the operating system and remove all your programs, however your documents, files, pictures would remain.

The last time I worked on it was Sunday Jan 10 2016 when I composed my time sheet for work. Last night was the first time I tried to open it since then.

I downloaded the program from ITT Tech for free in March of last year when I started classes there.

Can we do the refresh option? It's not an issue with Office itself, I believe there is something else corrupt in the operating system that is conflicting with the program.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
how much will it cost me
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

there's no additional charge, the only downside is you would have to reinstall all the programs you have currently installed.

I considered that last night. There are many programs I have to back-up before I do something that extreme.

Hi Cody. I was able to backup my files. I uninstalled Office and reinstalled as a student. It's having problems installing the registry key. Error 0x80004005 comes up when I try to open Excel or Word.
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

Did you do the refresh or just uninstall Office?
