Hello and welcome to, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you.

To start with, whats the full name brand and model of your Iomega zip drive?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Iomega Zip 250, Model #Z250USBPCMBP

Windows 7 should have the built in drivers. the iomage ware software wont work on windows 7 though.

You would only need that software if , you have your files on that drive password ***** or encrypted.

If thats the case, you would need to connect it to a computer with xp or vista, unlock and copy all your files, and then toss the drive.

if your files aren't password ***** or encrypted, then I can help you access the drive on windows 7..

Please respond and verify the status of your files on that drive. Thank you,

Dustin S.

Excellent.. Then heres what we need to do.

And this may or may not go smoothly so please understand if anything doesnt go according to plan, send a reply and let me know exactly where we got stuck at so I can assist you further.

  1. Connect the zip drive to your windows 7 computer via a usb cable.
  2. Please press the windows key on your keyboard , hold it down, and press R

Onscreen should be a box that says Open / Run . In that box type in,

    devmgmt.msc and then hit enter.

Now, inside the device manager windows that shows up, were looking for any device that says unknown or unrecognized device, and it may have a yellow warning mark next to it. If you see any of those devices, let me know what they are labeled as and what category they fall under.

Thank you,

Dustin S.

Do you see any devices listed besides the C or D drive.
