I still need to know though what you want done as you have only said Match Data.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i just need to build formulas that will support data. For instance, If i need to change % in reveune growth, I don't want to re type
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok.. you need to be a little more specific please.

what exactly do you mean by formulas that will support data?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I need you to build the excel formulas for the spreedsheet. As you can tell, none exist and i need them
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok sorry but your only saying build formulas with no explanation of what you want the formulas to do.

Are you willing to explain to me what you actually want the formulas to do?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can, I just thought you could figure out from the numbers. Should I just type per line item...
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

no, you cannot just figure out from the numbers, you need to tell me the rules for the actual formula...

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
line 5 needs to be increase yearly by 7.9%
line 7 divided by 5 equals line 8
line 9 divided by 5 equals line 10
line 11 dived by line 5 equals line 12
line 13 goes up 5% per year across
line 16 is derived from line 9 minus lines 11 and 13
line 17 is derived from line 16 divided by line 5
line 21 goes up 7.9 percent
line 23 goes up 1.6% per year
line 33 goes up by 7.9 % per year
line 38 is result of subtracting lines 36-33 from line 32
line 39 is result of adding 38 the year before
line 40 is dividing line 38 into line 9
line 43 is reproduction of line 39
line 49 column G is difference between line 39 column G and line 42Glet me know if this can be done
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, looking at it now

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok thx
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

you say line 7 divided by 5 equals line 8but line 8 = 44.3 and it should be 70 if its divided by 5 right?

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

also the dame for the following line 9 divided by 5 equals line 10

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok, line 7 is 350 /790 line 5 should be 44% right
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

you said line 5 was 7.9% and 350/790 does not give the results....

Can you please check carefully and tell me please the calculations that should occur.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
line 5 is 790.43. so 350.26/790,43 is 44.3%
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, done the rules you request except "49 column G is difference between line 39 column G and line 42G let me know if this can be done: as there is not line 49

You can get the file from www.wiksiend.com under file id 771160

Let me know the results

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
says web site not available??
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

its working for me.

try this link

www.wikisend.com

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
got it. The numbers should match the spreed sheet i sent and it appears they do not Let me review and let you know differnce
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

no they match the rules you sent me, I have to follow the rules you gave, its the only way this will work, and I suspect you had some mistakes in some of them as line 49 did not even exist...

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok i will continue to review
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

thanks

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
line 14 should be 5%
line 11 should go up 7.9%
line 38 should be line 32 less lines 33,34,35,36
line 43 G is difference from 39G and 42GI think that will correct, but will see. Thx
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, I understand all except

line 14 should be 5%

What do you man as 14 is percentages

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
line 14 should be 5% vs. 17%, thus line 13 goes up 5% per year
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

sorry not following

Line 14 is row 13 divided by row 5

Line 13 already goes up 5% each year

How exactly do you want line 14 calculated as just saying 5% does not make sense sorry

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
you have row 14 as 17% needs to be 5%
It just says that is the amount row 13 is going up...just as you did for lines 6 and 5
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, its 17% as thats the result of the calculation but I just typed in 5% instead if you require this.

I have uploaded it under file id 177458

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
row 11 is incorrect as well. Should be increase by 7.9 & yearly
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
7.9%
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

it does, it adds 7.9% to the previous year

C11 = 231.25 which is 7.9% more then 214.32

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
but you have 225
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

Did you get my latest version?

Its 231.35

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

file id 177458 from www.wikisend.com

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
line 38 is not correct. should be line 32 minus 33,34,35,36
line 40 incorrect (should be 39 divided by 9)
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok it is line 32 minus 33,34,35,36 but you mean

33+,34+,35+,36 - 32

line 40 is line 39 divided by 9

132.36/474.93 = -27.87 but I believe you want it as a positive? So converted it to this

File ID 521968

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
something is wrong. 38, 39,40 are wrong, it cannot be a negative # look at original spreedsheet
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

yes then its how I had it which is a positive

ID 177458

The formula is 33+34+35+36 - 32

Manually do it with a calculator and you see it is correct.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no, 33-36 are negative # It should be 48.86 on line 38B
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
bot***** *****ne, the spreedsheets need to mirror each other
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok I see you have not taken into account the + and - when explaining the rule as this impacts the calculations. Technically the calculations thats being done is not correct as its a minus number to a + but I added this into it

File ID 253730

Please check it

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
looks almost good. Line 39 C is not correct needs to be 38 a and b equals 39c
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

you mean

39c = 38b + 38c

as A is the text

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
all the way across
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok done, File ID 192630

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

was there anything else with the file you needed done?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sorry, tied up in meeting
line 23 needs to show 86.02 all the way across
line 45 is line 39 minus line 44
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, you said line 23 goes up 1.6% per year, but I changed it.

Also added the formula for line 45

ID 632884

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
d 39 is not correct, should be c38 plus d38 equals d39 all way across
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

It is C38+D38

The latest version is ID 632884, please make sure you are checking that

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no not right look at original
d 39 is not correct, should be c38 plus d38 equals d39 all way across
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

yes the original is C38 56.21 + D38 67.78

Which equals 121.33

Yours says 173.85 for the addition of the two same figures.

Please try to realize your sheet has miscalculation, the formulas is correct

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
but that is not correct. I need formula to be $173.85 because we are adding 121.33 plus the new FCF of 65.92. Sorry if my communication is incorrect but it is cummulative
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

those figures 121.33 plus the new FCF of 65.92 dont exist anywhere on the sheet

I have put a lot of effort into trying to make sense of what you want done, even when you keep changing this, but I would really appreciate if you could put some time aside and carefully think through how the calculations should work and tell me. I have done this with you and would appreciate you doing the same as it makes no sense to just keep doing things and then re-doing them because what your telling me is not correct.

When you say I need formula to be $173.85 because we are adding 121.33 plus the new FCF of 65.92. yes none of this exists on the sheet, then please explain EXACTLY how you get this. Else how am I meant to do the formula? I want to get this done for you but I really need some effort on your side as well please Ben
