Well I have an excel file and moved this file to a new

well I have an excel file and moved this file to a new folder. now, when I go to this new folder it shows the excel file but I cannot open it. instead I get the message "C:\Users .....xlsx could not be found check the spelling etc etc. So the question is what can I do to retrieve this and a number of other files that have simply disappeared? thks for your advice

Hello! I am IT Miro and I will assist you on this question.

You get that error message since Excel cannot find the Excel file under its previous location because you moved it elsewhere.
Instead of opening a moved Excel file from Microsoft Excel Recent list, go to the location you moved the file to using Windows Explorer and then double-click it and it will open in Microsoft Excel.
