Have you import the Excel spreadsheet in to confluence or do you only want to freeze the header and column

Please open the excel spreadsheet and open Microsoft word. Select all the relevant cells in the excel spreadsheet and copy these cells Open a new blank document in Microsoft Word. Save the document as a RTF file. Paste your excel cells into the RTF file. Save the RTF file under a name you can remember. Upload the RTF file to Confluence. Please see if this work for you.

Sorry, I'm not sure i'm clear on what you are saying. But I'll try to read between the lines. Please review and edit your post so that I can understand more clearly what is being recommended. I have a very large Excel spreadsheet I want to share with viewers on the web. Our company uses Confluece Wiki. I want users to be able to scroll around in the spreadsheet and still be able to see the Column and and Row Headings. Does that explanation help give you a better picture of what I want to accomplish? I did not get a chance today to try the Excel and Word Rich Text workaround I found on the web but I'll try it tomorrow. If you create a table in Excel it also gives you the ability to use pre-formatted tables that have colored cells and boldened fonts and alternating row coloring for easier reading. I hope I'm doing a good job of describing a mental picture for you. Well, I want to be able to keep all of the previously described formatting in the web version of my spreadsheet.

Does your spreadsheet have to be a proper wiki page? If not I'd advise using the Excel plugin instead.This embeds the spreadsheet which can then be seen as it was originally formatted. You can also edit it if you are using either IE or Firefox.

You can add a page to your wiki using the Add menu
Save the page
Add an attachment to that page via the Add menu
Click the Insert/Edit Macro icon in the toolbar
Type "excel" into the search box of the Select Macro window and press enter
Click the Office Excel item
You'll see a dialog box come up (see screenshot in the right column). Select the spreadsheet you attached from the File Name popup menu
Optionally, if you'd like to show a specific worksheet or row/column range, specify those values in the provided fields
Click Insert and then save your page
