Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Thank you for this.

Please try the following:

Open up a new Word document again.

Go to File > Info > Manage Versions -> Recover Unsaved Documents.

Please tell me if you can see any files there?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Did not see any

Click File -> Options -> Save.

Under Save Documents

Please tell me if the Save Auto Recover Information Every (box) is checked, and what is the time?

Also, what is the location for AutoRecover file location?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Please open this location to check if files are there also tell me what the time was in that box?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

10 minutes -

I must have done something wrong because the file location box has changed - maybe because I was searching for the file

I tried to send a screen shot of the box and I could not paste it - any way to talk??

Unfortunately, we cannot speak on the phone.

However, i will do my best to try every possible way in which we can retrieve files.

Please hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press R.

This will open a run dialog box.

In the Run Box, type

Hit Enter, this will open the folder.

In this folder, please see if there are any files?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It brought the file up and I was able to save it. I think I have what I need for now but will contact you later if it is not working. Thank you very much for helping me as I am not very savvy when it gets off the normal path of what I typically do and no one else is here today to assist. Thanks again and I will give you a good review.

Thank you Jim.
