Is there a way to recover an unsaved Word document in MS 2

This answer was rated:

Is there a way to recover an unsaved Word document in MS 2003?

Hello and thank you for your question today. My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.

If you had the document open, chose to close it, and then chose to NOT SAVE, I am sorry to report that there is absolutely no way to recover the document. When you choose to "Not Save", it will erase all remnants of the document from memory.

Is your situation similar to what I described above or different somehow?

Thank you for the update Estella.

In that case, I am super sorry to report, but there is no way to recover the document.

I ask you from the bottom of my online heart, to please, keep in mind that when you rate me below, that you are rating me "Jason" and my words. You are not rating Microsoft or anything else. In my opinion, Microsoft SHOULD have written their programs in another way so that the documents could be recovered for later.

Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX has never happened to me before, and this was so important--about two hours of typing.

I can't believe that there is no way to retrieve this. I always thought that there was some kind of a back door where such could be retrieved.

I am so very disappointed, but thanks for your help anyway.

You are very welcome Estella.

If you ever have any issues in the future, please, let me know.
