# Lets say want the value inputted into C1 from the following

Lets say want the value inputted into C1 from the following formula.
If A1 is > A2 but A3 but A4 but A5 but < B5 input the value of C5 into C1.
And so on..

The-PC-Guy :

The-PC-Guy :

I do not understand what you mean by all of the buts

The-PC-Guy :

do you mean that you want cell A1 to be > A2 and > A3 and > A4 and > A5 and A5 < B5

The-PC-Guy :

or is it something else?

Customer:

No. I will input a number into A1 such as 636. A2 is a constant such as 600. B2 is a constant such as 650. A3 constant 651 B3 constant 700 and so on. C2-5 are also different constant number. Example C2=1.25, C3=1.5, C4=2.0 and so on.

The-PC-Guy :

would it be easier for you to explain what you need if you send me a copy of your worksheet?

Customer:

ok how?

The-PC-Guy :

goto

The-PC-Guy :

www.wikisend.com

The-PC-Guy :

in another tab in your browser

The-PC-Guy :

The-PC-Guy :

The-PC-Guy :

copy and paste that link here

Customer:

The-PC-Guy :

ok

The-PC-Guy :

i have the file open

The-PC-Guy :

now maybe it will be easier to explain what you are looking to do

The-PC-Guy :

is it what you wrote

The-PC-Guy :

if d1 >= f1 ...

The-PC-Guy :

is that what you are looking to do?

Customer:

I the formula will work the same for every situation. Lets use D2 as my variable number. And we only want to use the New Penn chart. if the credit score in D2 is 650 then I want the "Credit Adjustment" in H6 to automatically populate into J11.

The-PC-Guy :

ok so ok

The-PC-Guy :

if the credit score in d2 is 650 you want cell J11

The-PC-Guy :

to = whatever values is in H6

The-PC-Guy :

what do you want the value in J11 to be if D2 is not = to 650

Customer:

If d2 is 720 the j11 would be the value in h10, 0.375.

The-PC-Guy :

ok

The-PC-Guy :

i can do both of those in a single formula

The-PC-Guy :

are there any other criteria?

Customer:

no, a single formula should work for all my variables. i want excel to search where d2 fits between the ranges of "credit low" in f5 to "credit high" in g10 and place the proper "credit adjustment" into j11. i should then be able to work that formula for all other functions needed.

The-PC-Guy :

so inother words

The-PC-Guy :

you want to do

The-PC-Guy :

between value in

The-PC-Guy :

F5 and G5

The-PC-Guy :

then F6 and G6

The-PC-Guy :

then F7 and G7

The-PC-Guy :

ect...

The-PC-Guy :

and put the coresponding h value in J11

The-PC-Guy :

is this correct?

Customer:

that's it.

The-PC-Guy :

okay

The-PC-Guy :

give me a few minutes to do that

The-PC-Guy :

okay

The-PC-Guy :

done

The-PC-Guy :

The-PC-Guy :

Let me know if you need any modifications

The-PC-Guy :

otherwise

The-PC-Guy :

The-PC-Guy :

PLEASE RATE ME - GOOD or EXCELENT, so I get reimbursed for my time

Customer:

Looks like it works!!! where do I rate you excelent?

The-PC-Guy :

at the bottom of your screen

The-PC-Guy :

where you see the smiley faces

Customer:

found the excelent button thanks again.

The-PC-Guy :

np

Customer:

is that all?

The-PC-Guy :

unless you needed something else

The-PC-Guy :

otherwise

The-PC-Guy :

just rate before you leave

The-PC-Guy :

and that will take care of it

Customer:

thanks, bye.
