This answer was rated:

I have a spreadsheet with about 20,000 entries, half of which have duplicate emails. I need to find all of the duplicate emails and change the email column of the entry to "[email protected]" Is there an easy way to do this without going through each and every entry?

Some more information about the spreadsheet: There are about 20 columns of data. The first three are: email, token, and date modified. the next 17 or so are Flags with either a Y or N for each entry. The only one I need to change is the email column of the duplicate with the earlier modified date. Currently I have the sheet filtered in alphabetical from a to z, so I see all of the duplicates next to each other.

Does this make sense? Let me know if I can clarify more.
Thank you for your question, my name is Richard.

I can write a macro to do this for you.

It is easiest if I do this directly into the sheet. Can I therefore see the file please?

- Click the following link:
- Upload the file to that website
- Once it is uploaded, the resulting page will display a "File ID" number.
- Please, give me that "File ID Number"

Thank you
