One of the reasons I prefer to use a PC (using office 2013)

Customer Question

One of the reasons I prefer to use a PC (using office 2013) over my MACbook pro using office for mac 2011 is that I get paste options to get the formatting correct in the new document in word. I tried using 'paste special' but can't seem to get the same functionality. I also find the same problem working with two colour schemes in powerpoint. Is there a solution or third party product for this?

businesslegions :

Hi there,

My name is Marco and I'll be assisting you with this issue. What is the functionality that you're after when clicking on paste special?

businesslegions :

Hi

businesslegions :

I'm going to try to help you here. :)

businesslegions :

I saw this question sitting around for a while, so thought I'd give it a shot

JACUSTOMER-2y5u9kvv- :

ok great thanks

businesslegions :

so what functionality are you after when you paste special?

businesslegions :

hello?

JACUSTOMER-2y5u9kvv- :

Well, in office 2010 onwards, when one copies and attempts to paste you get a pop up series of options in terms of the pasted format. This makes it easy to make the font and format conform. I cannot seem to do this in Office for mac 2011

businesslegions :

that should be a default option

businesslegions :

instead of right click

businesslegions :

can you click on edit?

businesslegions :

then paste special?

JACUSTOMER-2y5u9kvv- :

I'll try that again, but I have never found that to work

businesslegions :

it should be the same

JACUSTOMER-2y5u9kvv- :

OK, I'm going to try a few times and get back to you

businesslegions :

ok no problems

JACUSTOMER-2y5u9kvv- :

I'm sorry but I can't see how paste special achieves this

JACUSTOMER-2y5u9kvv- :

The format is completely different
