I can not use Microsoft word on my laptop anymore with knowing

I can not use Microsoft word on my laptop anymore with knowing the 25-character product key for setup. Where do i find this 25-character product key?

Hi,

Is it Office 2003, 2007 or 2010, etc.?

How long have you been using Microsoft Office on this computer?

Did you purchase Microsoft Office software previously? Did you purchase online or in-store?

Thank you,

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

It is Office 2007, I have been using it for under 2 years now. I did not purchase any other software, it was already installed when the laptop was purchased.

So somehow now it is asking for the product key.

Do you have any record of purchasing the computer/office?

Can you check:

Thank you

I did not purchase the laptop, it was purchased by my parents in Dec. of 2010. I can possibly find the records of the purchase. If I can not, how much would it be to obtain a new product key?

There is no more office 2007, but you can get office 2010; please see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try/

Or if you'd like to, I can provide you an alternate and free Office program you can use.
Thank you

Can the alternate program be attached to e-mails? I send essays through e-mail to my college instructors a lot. And thhank you for all the information you have given to this point.

You're welcome. Yes, of course, you can always attach office documents to email. You can go to Control Panel, and uninstall the Microsoft Office program.

, then download and install the Open Office program at http://www.openoffice.org/ and check.

Please let me know the result later. Thank you
