We have had Microsoft Word 2010 installed in our computer; however, it has been deleted due to a virus. I now have a new Microsoft Word 2010 Home and Student to install. Do I need to delete all Microsoft icons that are still on Programs menu before I install new disk?

nalosin :

yes, you will first have to uninstall previous version of Microsoft Word before you continue to installation of new Office 2010

nalosin :

Please let me know if you have XP, Vista or Win7 and I will provide the steps for uninstallation

Customer:

XP

nalosin :

Ok. You will have to open Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs

nalosin :

there in new window that will open, find Microsoft office in the list, right-click on it and select Uninstall

nalosin :

after un-installation finishes, please install new Office

nalosin :

Let me know if you have any questions

Customer:

I don't think anything happened. I'll try again.

Customer:

Did that. There are several Microsoft icons. The one with Home/Student?

It seems to be frozen.....my time is limited....please advise.

Did you download Office home and student

nalosin :

Did you try to just install the new Office Home and Student. If not please try to install and if you get any message let me know

Customer:

I am in Add/Remove Programs. There are 3 frameworks on the menu. Does that mean we had the 3-pack disk?

nalosin :

Did you find Microsoft Office in Add/Remove programs list?

Customer:

What do I do if I get kicked offline as happens frequently? How do I get you back?

nalosin :

Just stay on this page

nalosin :

don't try to close it

Customer:

My conputer seems to be frozen on Add/Remove Programs. I have Microsoft Home/Student 2010 highlighted but no response when I hit change/remove key.

nalosin :

Ok. It needs sometime. Please wait for a moment.

nalosin :

If it doesn't unfreeze you will have to restart computer then to try to go to Add/Remove programs again
