I recently purchased a new laptop and I installed Microsoft

This answer was rated:

I recently purchased a new laptop and I installed Microsoft Office 2010. My problem is I cannot get my contacts that I had on the old laptop to load onto this new one. I eexported my contacts into a file and tried to "follow" their instructions to install my old contacts into this one. I would appreciate any help any one could give me concerning this problem.

Sincerely,

George

Hello, I can help you with this. If you have your original outlook file from %user name%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\ ( the file named Outlook(office data file)), just copy it over to the new machine (with Outlook closed), launch Outlook. You will have your emails, contacts, and your calendar.
