Have Office Home and Student 2010 on a Windows 7 PC. Word suddenly

Resolved Question:

Have Office Home and Student 2010 on a Windows 7 PC. Word suddenly began to open all Word 2010 and Word 2007 files as Read-Only Compatibility Mode files. Word 1997-2003 docs open correctly. When problem began, got messages about Click-to-run, Microsoft Office Client Virtualization handler, and Converter failed to save. Also, my Temp folder has a lot of files...thought it should empty after each shut down. Is there a fix? Should I reinstall the Office 2010 software?

Thanks for your help! Will this re-occur? Is the appwiz good for other things as well?
Expert:  Jason Jones replied 5 years ago.

The Appwiz thing is good for other applications, but most other applications do not have the "repair" option available.

Thank you for your time.
