I cannot add favorites to explorer... recently used a wd external drive.

Please reset Internet Explorer:
  1. Close all Internet Explorer windows and folders.
  2. Click Start , and then click Control Panel.
  3. Open Network and Internet if available, open Internet Options. Then click on Delete and delete everything.
  4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
  5. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
  6. Then check.

If there is still any issue, please download and install Firefox browser at
, during installation, allow it to important your stuff from Internet Explorer
, then open Firefox and go to any website in Firefox and check
, from Firefox, you can click on the Firefox button on the top left, then select Bookmarks to view/bookmark any page.

I tried the first choice...and it did not work. I would still like to use explorer and not firefox.

You can try to update IE:
windows vista, or 7:
windows xp:

, but you can try Firefox also; it's faster and more reliable. Thank you.

The experts response to fix Explorer did not work...his other alternative was to change my internet brouser to firefox which I did not want to do.


I asked the expert twice, finally got it resolved by a local IT person.
