I have done what you recommended and I think it is configured.....where do I go to find out if it is indeed registered now?

Expert:  Frederick S replied 5 years ago.
You can open any Office 2010 program and select File --> Help and it will say in the right column "Product Activated" under the Office logo if it's activated, or "Product Activation Required" if it didn't go through.

I checked and it is still not activated

Go ahead and restart your computer and see if that helps.
