I am trying to create a spreadsheet that shows the growth of an item. I want to show both simple and compound growth. I started putting in =(Inflation factor * Current Value)+ Current Value and then just copying it for the next few years. Would this be simple or compound?

Compound, simple would just be the p*i, in this example you are adding the interest of the current value to the current value to give you the compound value.
