When you lose electric power is the engine affected?

How long does it last?

Ask Your Own Mercury Question
Customer reply replied 2 months ago
Timing varies. Sometimes i can get power right back other times nothing at all.
Yes it affects the engine. Car died on the road once. I wire brushed and rebuilt the neg terminal connector and pulled the main relay and cleaned the prongs this afternoon.
Test drove 2 miles w/o a fail but the speedometer did go wonky for a second. Other times the turn signals click rapidly when on. Not this time tho.
20 mins at idle no drop.
No check engine light and my code reader hasnt picked up anything.
Also 13.6v at battery and at all 3 frame ground bolts i could find in engine bay while on. 13.69v on engine side.

While idling if you move and wiggle the wiring to the fuses boxes can you make it mess up?
