Customer Question

All wheel drive isn't working. Only front. Light on dash has car with two skids? Is this a module or fuse problem or mechanical failure?
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: Have not checked fuses
JA: What is the model/year of your Mercury?
Customer: 2006 Montego
JA: Are you fixing your Montego yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: If it's something simple, yes. It's my daughters car. She said it was driving different. I test drove it, and that is all.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: It has 192k miles...Not putting any real money into it.

You will first need to have the ABS system checked for trouble codes before you do any repairs. The skid light is the traction control light and with all wheel drive vehicles, it will disable the all wheel drive because it sees a problem and only allows the front wheel to engage. Get the trouble codes and post them on this page.
