I am having a problem trying to get to my blower motor resistor, not enough room for my hands to get in, I removed the radiator/windshield washer tank but how how do you remove the air filter housing
JA: How has your mileage been lately? Have you checked the spark plugs?
Customer: my blower resistor is only blowing on high so I am changing it
JA: What is the model/year of your Mercury?
Customer: 1999 mountaineer
JA: Are you fixing your Mountaineer yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes I have changed it today now my blower is making a grinding noise
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no I just need to know how to remove the air cleaner shroud so I have more room to work

Hello my name is ***** ***** air cleaner is mounted in rubber grommets, it will pop out kind of hard here are the instructions.

Just remove the tube and pull straight up, then out away from fender, and it will come right out.
