the speed sensor for the transmission location?
JA: Does the sensor have a wire-wrapped magnet? If so, have you checked it with an ohmmeter?
Customer: I need to know where it is to replace it.
JA: What is the model/year of your Mercury?
Customer: 1999 marquis
JA: Are you fixing your Marquis yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: the transmission is jerking, and they tell me it is the speed sensor.

VSS is located at the Left rear of the Transmission

Be sure to check Voltage + on Fuse "8" with Key On located in the BJB (under hood fuse panel)
