I have a 2003 mercury sable you push temp button to 75-90 no heat only cold air blowing what could be the problem

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner past midnight.

While running at operating temp, blower on full speed, heat set on hottest, hood open. At the firewall near the passenger side are 2 black thumb size rubber hoses connected to the firewall. Are both about 170 degrees?
