05 montego. p061b and p2106 codes when accelerating with vehicle in park?
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the fuel filters?
Customer: why fuel filters?
JA: Are you fixing your Montego yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes. cleared codes and drove. codes come back after about 1 mile of driving. always come on when i accelerate with vehicle in park

The code P061B causes P2106 when the code sets. It is caused by the EGR module. Below is a TSB published by Ford for their technicians to repair the problem.

The EGR valve, the DPFE and MAP sensors used to be separate years ago and now Ford has incorporated them into one module. When there is a problem with the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor built into the EGR module, these codes will set. Have the EGR module replaced and have the codes cleared properly.
