Hi , recently I changed my starter my shift cable and my battery vut my mercury grand marquis wont start at all
JA: Have you changed a battery before?
Customer: Yes
JA: What year is your Grand Marquis?
Customer: 2002
JA: Are you fixing your Grand Marquis yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: A driend mines is we spent all day yesterday changed the starter the battery and the shift cable and it still wont start ....
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Someone told me it could be that my computer in my car might have to be reset. Would that be that problem ?

Have you checked power to the starter motor on the small signal wire to the starter motor when turning the key to the START position? That is the best way to tell if everything in the circuit is fine and checks the circuit at the end of it. Also, try putting it in neutral and starting it then.
