Hi, I'm Ron and I will be helping you today.

The problem can be a loss of spark or fuel. You can check for spark at the plugs with a spark tester.
You can check fuel pressure with a gauge and both of these tools should be available to you at your
local parts store for rent or purchase.

THanks, Ron

I've had this boat for 6 years and it has never failed to start. I had unloaded and idled up to the dock, put it in reverse and it died, and would not start.
I'm pretty sure I'm not getting spark, what do I need to check if not getting fire? Cool?
Expert:  rpmdiag replied 1 year ago.

A spark tester attached to the plug between the wire/coil and plug , then crank it and watch for a strong blue spark.
