2009 Mercury Grand Marquis. When temperature outside is over

Customer Question

2009 Mercury Grand Marquis. When temperature outside is over 90 degrees, and a/c is on, engine idling, car overheats unless a shut of the a/c. When running at normal speed temperature goes back down on engine. Is this problem 1) Associated with any recalls? 2) What could be causing this?

When the engine temp. starts to climb and I shut off the a/c, the engine temp goes back down. Again, when running a non-idle speed,(normal speed) everything is fine. Vehicle just 88,k miles. Problem has just started.
