have a noise in the front end that gets louder w/ acceleration. dealership telling me it's not bearings.. maybe transmission, UPT, or drive shaft. Any guesses?

What is the year, model and engine size of your mercury?
If applicable - 2wd, AWD, or 4WD?
What type of noise - hum, roar, growl, grinding, whining?
Does the noise lessen or increase when turning right, or when turning left?

2007 montego sel, AWD V8 205hp noise is a dull noise til I build up speed then lessens when I slow down.
told it's not bearings, might be u power train, transmission or drive shaft. car almost 50,000 miles. not sure what
to do.
