Mercury Grand Marquis LS: I have a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis.

Customer Question

I have a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. I'm trying to recharge my air conditioner.
However, the low pressure port is made of a hard plastic, and is too small for an over the counter R-134 charging kit. Can you tell me the size of that port?
Can that plastic port be removed and changed to metal? Or can it be retro-fitted?

Good morning. souinds like you are trying to hook up to the high side charge port. you need to hook up to the low side port which is smaller than the high side. The low side port is on the ac accumulator bottle near the passenger side firewall
