1999 mercury cougar: door panels..i can replace the blown speakers

how do i get the door panels off of my 1999 mercury cougar (2 door) so i can replace the blown speakers?

Hi,

 

Below are directions with plenty of photos to aid in removing the door panel:

 

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the screw cover, screw and mirror mounting cover.
  3. If equipped with manual windows, remove the window regulator arm, by releasing the clip using an appropriate tool.
  4. Remove the cover on the inside door handle.
  5. Remove the screws retaining the inside door handle to the door panel.
  6. Pull out the inside release handle cup and unplug the connectors from the switches (if equipped). Remove the front door release handle cup assembly.
  7. Remove any necessary door panel retaining screw covers.
  8. Remove the retaining screws from the door panel.
  9. Lift the door panel straight up to release the retaining tabs.
