I'm restarting this process, as I was not able to spend time on the issue before. Hi my name is ***** ***** I own a 2000 E430 with 160k miles.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your E430 yourself? What have you tried so far?

I've had it in the shop, but am not satisfied with the resulting situation

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I have High idle during morning starts that lasts about 30 seconds, and the cold start pump doesn't shut off. even after the car reaches full operating temperature. There are many things I can and will do myself

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?

Battery good, no corrosion
