Hi, my name is***** you please post the last 8 digits of your vin number?
Ok, do you have any way to read the fault codes in the ECU and the ESP module?
No, I am referring to a code reader. There will be fault codes stored in the ECU and the ESP module that will help to diagnose the problem. Have you tried shifting the car out of park this morning?
What do you mean when you say it will attempt to reverse? Are you able to move the shifter from park into reverse?
Ok, but the car won't move backwards?
Yes but low engine oil level will not cause this problem. It sounds like there may be a fault with the electronic throttle actuator. Are you able to rev the engine in park? Will the car even creep backwards or forwards? Is the parking brake released?
Are you able to rev the engine in park? I want to know if the engine responds to the throttle pedal.
Ok, so this sounds like a fault with the electronic throttle actuator circuit. Possible faults would be the actuator itself has failed or the sensor in the throttle pedal has failed. If the motor will not respond when you press the throttle you will need to have these items tested.
Hi, just checking in. Did you get this problem resolved?
