Customer Question

ABC malfunction light in red tires rubbing against frame.
JA: Do you have the trouble code? Do you have a code reader or scan tool?
Customer: I don't.
JA: I'll pass this info along to the Mercedes mechanic so that he can get you a quick fix. What is the model/year of your Mercedes?
Customer: 2009 SL 550
JA: Are you fixing your 550 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No, but will take it to my mechanic, just trying to be prepared...
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not really.

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is***** first thing you need to do is get the car connected to a Mercedes tester in order to read out the trouble codes in the system. If the car is lowered and the tires are rubbing this usually comes down to either a faulty ABC pump or a leak in the system. You can try raising the car with the switch on the console and see if that helps. If there is fluid leaking under the car I do not recommend that you drive it.

Let me know if you have any questions.
