Customer Question

2003 SLK320, Bad cell in battery, replaced, 12.92V, locks etc work, turn key, clicks like dead battery, I there something to reprogram?
JA: Did you test the battery with a voltmeter? And have you ever changed one before?
Customer: Yes and Yes,
JA: Are you fixing your SLK320 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just the Battery, I normally work on Honda/Acura's, this is the car my wife wanted. Midtronics digital batt tester showed bad cell 10.35V, replaced batt, doors lock/unlock, light work, turn key and just clicks like low batt. Retested batt showes 12.92V
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi, my name is***** there is nothing to reprogram after replacing the battery. If you have a spare key you should try that first. If it's the starter that is clicking you may just have a bad starter.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Both keys have the same effect, My wife said that the car started slow the day before, the batt I replaced it with is a 750CCA from our local parts store for this car. Will test the starter next.
