Have Mercedes Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello my name is***** am an ASE Master Technician and I am glad to help you with your question.
Check all fuses. Sounds like you have a blown fuse for the cd player.
Also try disconnecting the battery to see if the system will reset.
If the fuse is ok, then I would replace the unit.

Look in the owners manual under fuses, and they should have a location there.
I will open this up to others, I am not able to get this info to you at this time.
No you do not have to pay again. Someone will be with you shortly.
Go to the auto parts store and buy a test light if you do not already have one. You can probe the back of the fuse through the 2 small holes. You do not remove the fuse Simply back probe the fuse, if you have power on both sides the fuse is ok, if only one side you have a blown fuse. This is a way to quickly check all fuses without removing them if you do not have the fuse location chart.
There are 3 fuse boxes to check, right end of dash, left end of dash and trunk.
Have you checked the fuses in the trunk?
Its right above the battery in the trunk. You may have to remove the trim panel to access.
