My cruise control on my 1980 Mercedes 300d will not stay

Customer Question

my cruise control on my 1980 Mercedes 300d will not stay engaged, what could it be?

Hi, my name is***** most common problem is a faulty cruise control amplifier. Next would be a fault with the cruise actuator. The cruise actuator can be tested to see if it holds vacuum. Also, make sure that all of the brake light bulbs are working. The cruise gets a ground through the bulbs. If the bulbs are burned out the cruise will not function. You can send the amplifier to this company to have it tested.
