I rented a mercedes c300 and can't get the parking lights to

Customer Question

I rented a mercedes c300 and can't get the parking lights to turn off. If I move the rotary swotch all the way to the left, the left parking lights stay on. If I move it up a notch, the right side stays on. How do I get both sides off?
JA: How old is your battery? Have you checked the bulbs?
Customer: It's a rental car so I'm not sure.
JA: What year is your Mercedes C300?
Customer: 2016
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I assumed that I just did not understand the car features and was hoping that I had hit something inside the car
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Just need instructions on how to turn off the parking lights
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Mercedes Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hi, all the way to the left is for the left parking light, one notch back is for the right parking light, one more notch back is OFF. The switch knob should be pointing straight up and down.
