Have Mercedes Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
can you tell us the year and make and model of this vehicle ?
are there any codes being set ?
has anything been done yet to correct this problem yet ?
this only does this on first start up or a start up after its been off for a while ?
Hi Andy, my name is***** looks like the first expert has opted out of this question. Moisture build up in the distributor caps is a common problem on this model. I would inspect the caps for moisture and for signs of arcing. Improperly adjusted fuel mixture could also cause the problem. If the mixture is set too rich it would be most noticeable on a cold start.

Does this only happen after the car has been driven awhile?
Are you still there?
