Hey Eric, what size socket to remove hub bearing nut, does wheel carrier have to be removed to replace.
Expert:  Eric replied 1 year ago.

HI,

Mercedes doesnt list the socket size for the nut and it has been awhile since I have done one to know offhand. You would need either an on the car press like the HubShark, or you would need to remove the carrier and use a vertical press to press the hub and bearing out.

I will opt out and see if another expert knows the size of the hub bolt

For the record the hub nut size is 36mm socket, also once further into the bearing replacement a hydraulic press is require to remove and install the bearing which cost around $100.00. Not really a home mechanic project. Thanks for trying.
