2007 E350 4 matic 104k. When attempting to start vehicle turning the ignition nothing happens. Then after two or three tries the car starts. This is an intermittent problem. What could be the cause. Please advise

I am sorry that you have not been helped yet.
If it makes a single clicking noise when starting the vehicle, then I suspect the starter
If no noise at all, then most likely the ignition switch itself.

Thank you for your response. When this intermittent issue occurs there is no clicking just silence. Then it will start ten or twenty times in a row then it happens again. I will look into the switch. I may need advice on how to change it.
