Customer Question

I own a 1991 300e that starts and runs fine from a cold start. After engine heats up it runs rough and cuts off. I have to wait about 45 minutes before I can restart. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is***** most common cause of this problem would be a bad distributor cap and rotor. Next would be a fault with the ignition coil or ignition module or crankshaft sensor. If the fuel pumps run when cranking the motor but the motor won't start I'd test for spark from the ignition coil. If you have good spark from the coil I'd replace the cap and rotor.
Let me know if you have any questions.
