It seems a little low to be honest with you I would be starting with an alternator at fault as any low voltage fault will cause system fault lights to illuminate . I would get system scanned for faults to see why the car is putting lights on as it will most likely contain low voltage faults
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
would you suggest a new alternator or just a voltage regulator, also i have been researching this for two years and think it might be the BAS SENSOR so i have one ordered.
Expert:  Kevin replied 2 years ago.
Without codes from system it would be difficult to pinpoint any other fault the only thing I can say for sure is that the charging voltage is low I would replace whole alternator if you get me codes I can help further
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
DTC Code are Speed Control Actuator Assembly Cablr Slack Failure (c1179); Open CIRCUIT HEATING o2 COMPONENT G3/6 RT 02 SENSOR (P0036) : Steering Angle sensor DTC status fault lamp on (c1179) ; BAS release switch OFF A7/751 (180);; BAS diaphramtravel sensor .08 mm A7/761 (182)

I suspect you have multiple issues and that low charging is just another issue steering angle sensors are common on all mercedes of this age I've not come accross the other faults in the abs I also don't have any info on the bad codes you have given I can open question up if you like there may be someone else online that can help more with this
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I'm sure you are correct after the bas is replaced (and alternator) i will investigate a new front SAM. anyway thanks for trying, and you may post the question.
