SL500: I have 2003 MB SL500. I have no electrical function

Customer Question

I have 2003 MB SL500. I have no electrical function in car. No lights, no alarms, key fob will not turn when inserted in ignition. The battery under the hood tests fine, and I replaced the batteries in the key fob.

Hi Mike, the battery under the hood is for the starter motor. The battery in the trunk is for everything else. It sounds like the battery in the trunk is bad. I'd put a jumper battery on the battery in the trunk and see if you get power into the car.
Let me know how you make out.
