There are a few issues we see with the transmission - the first thing I would recommend is to have the gearbox & engine ECU's checked for fault codes to see if there are any faults stored.
Also the gearbox oil level should be checked - a workshop dipstick is required for this as no dipstick is installed from the factory.
Common faults can be with the speed sensors inside the transmission or the MAF (air mass) sensor in the engine system. Fault codes with these will often be stored.
Also check the electrical connector on the front of the gearbox - these are prone to leaking into the wiring. If oil is leaking into here then the plastic spacer & seals should be replaced & the connector cleaned out with electrical cleaner.
If no faults are present then I would next consider having the transmission flushed with an oil & filter change.
Other faults are also possible but would have the above checked out first.
