Customer Question

My 2002 ML320 won't start. I get a start error message when I put the key on ACC. How many hours and what cost should I expect to pay for a diagnostic to identify the problem?

HiCustomer I think diagnostic charges up to 2 hours is a fair price for a conclusive diagnosis. Most of the testing is done on the Mercedes Star diagnostic tester and some is actual pinout testing to verify powers and grounds and inputs. If the shop has the proper test equipment and is familiar with the Mercedes drive authorization system I would agree to the diagnostic charges. Depending on their labor rate I'm assuming around $200.00.
