1999 E320 4matic: srs says..passenger sensor

Resolved Question:

The SRS light on my 1999 E320 4matic has come on. The dealer says it is a child sensor in the passenger seat that is the problem . I bought a new sensor and plugged it into the same receptacle that the original seat sensor was plugged into. The light did not go out. Is there something else I should do to get the SRS light to go out.? I do not want to take the seat apart if the sensor is not the problem

HiCustomer you will need to scan and erase the SRS fault codes. The light will not go out with the new sensor installed until you erase the fault codes.
