I have a question. I have a question related to self esteem/I have a question related to self esteem/ self love and shyness. I believe that I have a high self esteem because I like myself just the way I am and accept me fully. I‘m also very kind to myself and my own best friend. Normally I‘m pretty bubbly and extroverted. But in some new situations I‘m pretty quiet or nervous (for example when I start a new job or have to give a presentation or when I‘m at a Party and don‘t know anyone). I‘ve never had a problem with this situational behaviour since my whole family is that way and I also always been that way. But now I read online that people who are shy (i don‘t even know if its real shyness in my case or more like introversion and quietness) always have a low self esteem and that the low Self esteem ist the cause die the shyness. That really upsets me because I think I habe a high Self esteem and thats pretty Important for me to be happy with who I am. I can‘t really change my behaviour in those situations, rather I thought accepting them and me fully would be the right choice. So my question is can someone have a high Self esteem and still be sometimes shy/quiet? Thank you so much for your help! … read more
